1 Corinthians 6:19: Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
Paraclete – Parakletos (Greek). Summoned, called to one’s side, one who pleads another’s cause before a judge, an advocate.
Greetings Saints of God! Summertime is here. Life will be different, but it is good to know that even during the summer the Lord has a helper that watches over us. The Lord’s advocate aids His Disciples by teaching them, guiding them, leading them, strengthening them, and comforting them. God’s Holy Spirit cares for and watches over His followers no matter what season we are in. The Holy Spirit does a good work for the Believers in Christ Jesus. Let us examine the benefits we enjoy as the children of God because of His Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirits Benefits
I. The Holy Spirit Lives In Christian Believers (1 Corinthians 6:19)
This helps keep Believers insulated from the world.
II. The Holy Spirit Fills Believers (Ephesians 5:18)
The filling allows the Holy Spirit to lead and to guide Believers.
III. The Holy Spirit Sanctifies The Believer (2 Thessalonians 2:13)
The Holy Spirit makes and sets Believers free from sin.
IV. The Holy Spirit Produces Fruit In Our Lives (Galatians 5:22-23)
The Fruit of the Spirit enables us to know Christ better in relationships, Love Him better, remember Him and others in love daily; and to imitate Him.
V. The Holy Spirit Gives Spiritual Gifts To Believers From God (Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Ephesians 4:7-12)
The purpose of giving these gifts is to Glorify God (Revelations 4:16) and to Edify the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12-13).
VI. The Holy Spirit Teaches Believers (John 14:26)
He will instruct us in all Spiritual matters as we read and study the Word of God and live for and in Christ Jesus. Praise Him!
God’s Holy Spirit in the Church Age from Pentecost until Christ comes back to Glorify His Church performs a special work in every Believer the moment they Accept, Believe, and Confess Faith in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit does this work no matter what Season we may find ourselves in. Enjoy your Summer Season in the Name and in the Spirit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
