Sunday School Is For Our Learning

Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our Learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

Vocabulary

LearningLeornian (Old English), to get knowledge, to gather facts, to study, to get experience or skill.

Three is an important number we find in the Holy Scriptures. The following examples reveal a promising fact:

1. In the God-head Body there are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Romans 1:20).

2. In Christian Unity there is one Lord, one Faith, and one Baptism; (Ephesians 4:5)

3. For Learning there is Teaching, Instructing and Preaching, (Matthew 4:23).

All three (3) of these involve learning. Teaching is associated with Prayer Meeting and Bible Study; Instruction is associated with Sunday School; and Preaching is associated with the 11:00 a.m. worship service.

Our God wants Disciples, Followers, and Learners who want to acquire knowledge, understanding and wisdom. For the fact of the matter is; if one does not want to learn you can give them years upon years of Bible Study; Sunday School; and Sound Doctrine Preaching and they will learn very little. However, if we add a little want to and inspiration to the menu, the sky is the limit as to how far one can reach in learning.

Sunday School is setup so that all may learn. There are classes for youths, children and adults. Each group studies on the same topic but on a different level of understanding. Each lesson is based upon God’s word from Bible Scripture. Our Teachers explain God’s word correctly and provide a Bridge to bring the understanding of the word from back in the day time to the present moment time. Summaries, Questions, and Comments can be done during Sunday School Time. Learning is fundamental; It is needed, but more than anything; It Is Fun! See you in Sunday School! Praise The Lord.

Conclusion

Our knowledge of the Scriptures in the Bible affects our attitudes, our behaviors, and our conducts toward the present time and the future also. We must know to understand what our God has done in the past to realize what He is doing in this present time. God is always in Control! We won’t know how much He is in control until we study and compare the Scriptures. You are welcome to come and do just that in our Sunday School Ministry at 9:25 am. See you there.
