MONTHLY BLOG - The Greatest Is Love

1 Corinthians 13:13 - There are three things that will endure – Faith, Hope, and Love – and the greatest of these is love.

Vocabulary

LoveAgape (Greek) God’s Spiritual affection, unselfish giving, sacrificial, great, and willing love towards Mankind. Lufu (Old English). The feeling experienced when one is strongly attached, care for or about, or deeply devoted to another.

The Month of February is here. In the United States of America February 14th is usually set aside (Valentine’s Day) as a Holiday to celebrate and to bring joy to loved ones and affection to those we care about. But February is also a month that we get to celebrate President’s Day, Black History Month, and our Women’s Evangelistic Convention. When you compare February; It is the Shortest Month; it is the coldest winter month and it ends the darkest season. That is a lot for the year’s shortest Month.

Our God’s Love is not like that. It never gives the least but the most. It always focuses on others like His Son Jesus The Christ (John 3:35) and all His Children He has placed in His Family (2 Thessalonians 2:16). God’s focus is always His Love to our benefit. We are all made in His Image and His Likeness and He Cares so very much about us.

Things about God Endure

Faith endures because God allows it to be a part of the future at the same time as the present. Hope endures because it is the person Jesus the Christ; the place Heaven and the promise of future Blessings. But Love endures because it starts from the beginning with God – “For God So Loved the World that He Gave His only begotten Son.” Amen.

Conclusion

We are all our Lord Jesus’ Disciples, As His obedient and loyal Followers He wanted us to Love God and to Love others (Matthew 22:37-38). When we dedicate our lives to Him it shows through our actions, behaviors, and conduct that His Love in and through us is working. Praise The Lord!
