Beware of All Sin - Isaiah 59:2

Vocabulary

Sin – Harmatia (Greek), Chatta’ah (Hebrew). Attitudes and actions that prove one has fallen short of God’s Standard; To miss the mark; to trespass or break the Law of God; any offense against God.

There is no such thing as a great sin or a minor sin. There are, however, many sins and few sins. All sins regardless of number are against God. Our God is perfectly Holy. (Rev. 4:8). He is a Supreme Being. Sin cannot tarry in His Presence. Therefore, all sins separate us from our God. This separation from God is promised Death. Look back at Genesis 3 and see that Adam and Eve died Spiritually when they ate of the forbidden fruit. Their souls were separated from God. This separation allowed them to begin to die physically, also. Their sin nature was passed down to all of us and death entered the Human Race. (Rom. 5:12, 6:23). Due to the fact that we all die, indicates that we all are sinners.

Sins’ penalty is Death. That penalty can only be cancelled by the union with God through the Blood Sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. Jesus paid the price of our transgressions and our Sins. Believers will continue to die physically until our Lord comes back again (1 Thess. 4:14-18). But because we are saved, our physical deaths bring us unto the Throne Room of God in Heaven. That is our ultimate Blessing! Therefore, we should not allow our Fellowship with the Lord God to be tainted by doing anything that will separate us from Him. Starting today, let us all try our best not to Sin!

The Rewards are worth it! Praise The Lord!
